Dr Juan Du Plessis
Scoliosis Clinician, Chiropractor
Originally from South Africa, with a Masters in Technology of Chiropractic, Dr Du Plessis has been a clinic director in prestigious healthcare centres in Asia, providing scoliosis rehabilitation and bracing.
He has received advanced training and certification in SpineCor and ScoliBrace bracing protocols and has completed SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) training and accreditation. He is dedicated to providing health professionals with the education, evidence, and resources to effectively treat and manage scoliosis. This webinar will challenge and inspire your thinking about this complicated, yet common, condition.
Daniel Firth
Scoliosis Clinician, Orthotist
Daniel, BSc Hons (Orthotics and Prosthetics), is an experienced Orthotist who graduated from Salford University in the UK, with a passionate interest in the non-surgical treatment of scoliosis and spinal conditions.
As a specialist Orthotist in the UK, he has worked at the prestigious London children’s hospitals of Great Ormond Street and Evelina Children’s Hospital. In Australia, Daniel has worked at Royal North Shore Hospital, helping to provide a state-wide Orthotic service for patients with spinal cord injuries.
Daniel has received advanced training and certification in ScoliBrace protocols and has extensive experience in supporting families and individuals through their treatment journey, ensuring they receive the best possible care available.
Sarah Blackburn
Exercise Physiologist
Sarah has many years’ experience as an accredited Exercise Physiologist. She has worked in various health care settings caring for a variety of patients including musculoskeletal, neurological, metabolic, and chronic conditions. She has undertaken comprehensive scoliosis specific rehabilitation training and provides evidence-based rehabilitation.
Sarah holds a Bachelor in Sport and Exercise Science and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Sarah believes educating each individual is the key for positive treatment outcomes and will provide education along with physical rehabilitation throughout the Scoliosis treatment program.
