Advanced ScoliBrace Workshop for Certified ScoliBrace Providers

Join us for this Advanced ScoliBrace Workshop designed for all certified ScoliBrace Providers to advance their bracing and case management skills and knowledge to world-class levels.

This course will provide you with advanced knowledge and skills in the area of bracing for patients with scoliosis, hyperkyphosis and junctional kyphosis.

Dates: October 24th to 26th 2025 (Friday to Sunday)
Times: Day 1 – 2pm to 7pm | Day 2 – 9am to 5pm | Day 3 – 9am to 12pm

Mode of Learning: This course will be a combination of lectures and practical and will include a significant number of simple and complex case studies. During the practical you will be expected to demonstrate skills and knowledge regarding modifying braces relevant to case study scenarios.

Meet the Instructors

Attendees are fortunate to have the dedicated support of not one, but three expert instructors, including ScoliCare’s Clinical Director, Dr. Juan Du Plessis. The team are there to provide personalized guidance and ensure a hands-on learning experience.

Objectives:

This course will cover bracing for adults, adolescents and juveniles with scoliosis and/or hyperkyphosis. In particular you will cover:  

  • Scoliosis biomechanics 
  • Comprehensive patient management
  • How to identify brace effectiveness
  • Analysis of in- and out-of-brace X-rays 
  • How to make decisions about brace modifications 
  • Modifying a brace when a patient improves or when a patient changes size 
  • Modifying a brace for single, double, triple curves and complex cases*
  • Knowing when to order a new brace 
  • Brace modifications for a variety of case presentations
  • The differences between bracing for adults and adolescents 
  • How to choose a particular type of brace for each patient 
  • Predicting patient outcomes
  • Comprehensive X-ray and photo analysis
  • Selling and marketing a brace within a busy chiropractic clinic
  • The role of physiotherapeutic scoliosis specific exercises (PSSE) – ScoliBalance. 
  • Bracing research update.
