The First Appointment
This is the start of the treatment journey.
It’s natural to be a little nervous, so please ask any and all questions that come to mind. We also encourage you to look through all of the resources on our website and in this portal before your first appointment.
On the day of your appointment, you will meet with your Scoliosis Clinician. The clinician will discuss your health concerns, go through your medical history and and conduct an X-ray examination. The clinician will also perform a thorough physical examination, which may include taking postural photos and a 3D scan.
The video below provides an introduction to what you can expect at the first appointment.
During the second appointment, the clinician will review your X-ray findings, discuss your treatment options, and outline the management plan in detail. Our focus is on accurate analysis and correct diagnosis to enable us to recommend the right treatment, at the right time.
Depending on the recommendations, your clinician will discuss with you the timeline of care, appointment schedule and next steps.
Don’t worry if you forget to ask something, there’s lots of information to take in. You can always contact us for a chat later if needed.
The team at ScoliCare East Phoenix is here to support you through this appointment and beyond.
